Panorama of Mt. Meron and the northern Galilee, taken atop the Metzuda outlook, Tzfat, Israel.
The ancient and picturesque mountaintop village is the home of Kabbala Jewish mysticism, and hosts the annual international Klezmer music festival.

The courtyard of the coziest, most comfortable and intimate private Bed and Breakfast (zimmer) in the beautiful, mystical city of Safed (Tzfat) in northern Israel -- your home away from home in the Galilee!

The citrus tree outside your door...

Dave and Miri's walled garden guest room is set in a beautiful old stone house in Tzfat’s historic artist colony. Nestled on a quiet hillside street with nearby free parking and public transportation, the old Jewish quarter is a short stroll away.

The room sleeps four comfortably and has a fridge and a microwave. Dave and Miri are great cooks and offer sumptuous homemade breakfasts: shakshouka, blintzes, omelets - pretty much you name it.

The room:

The stained glass door ushers you into a beautiful restful space featuring an arched, middle eastern-style domed ceiling, which adds to the atmosphere. An air conditioner and overhead fan keeps the room cool in summer, while the thick walls and built-in heater keep it cozy in winter.

Tastefully furnished with connected twin beds (queen size available on request), the room also has a couch which opens out into another two beds. A trundle bed and a portable crib are available if required.

A microwave, refrigerator, and electric kettle are provided, so you can warm up snacks, keep things cool or make a hot drink.

For guests staying over Shabbat or Yom Tovim, candles with candlesticks, Kiddush cup, juice, challah board and cover, plata, urn, and timers are available.

A comfortable table and chairs together with a wi-fi connection also make it easy for you to use your laptop and plan your jaunts to the beautiful Galilee region.

Location:

Simcha Leah's is on 12 Korczak Street, a quiet pedestrian lane set in the heart of the Artists' Quarter. Stepping down from the street into a pleasant courtyard the guest room has its own entrance off to the side of the main house.

A typical alleyway in Tzfat's Old City.

The historic Saraya community center with it's impressive bell tower are close by, as are the Jow Alon Cultural Center, and Tzfat's quaint shops and street-side cafes.

Transportation:

Regular intercity and local buses, and taxi services are a few steps away (but far enough to be unheard from the room).

Small Conference Facilities:

Simcha Layah’s is also prepared to host your small conference event or seminar for up to 15 people. We offer high-speed internet, printing, LED projection, video-conferencing, VoIP, and full catering in a comfortable, facilitative atmosphere can help you make the most of your event.
